On Friday 27/04 Ailsa presented the final maquette to the panel at the Susan Carnegie Centre, Stracathro Hospital. The reaction was very positive and the go-ahead was given for fabrication.
Work can now begin scaling the piece up to its full size.

A trip over to South Elmsall today to visit Kinetica Engineering where the railing panels and gates are being cut.
They panels are now all cut and are currently being assembled. Hopefully we will have the work back at the studio towards the middle of this week.
The shadows created by the cut panels are fantastic, I think. Can’t wait to see the whole thing installed!
The work was delivered to site on Wednesday 18th May. It rained and it hailed but this didn’t stop the work progressing.
Many thanks to Miletree Construction for their assistance with the installation of the works.
The pieces are now all in place. A satisfactory conclusion to a year long project.
The children’s pieces produced during workshop session last March are also in place and looking really good. Hopefully all those involved will be happy seeing their work in situ, and will be proud of their achievements.
The railing panels designed with the help of children from Lock Lane After School Club have now been installed along the boundary of the newly refurbished recreation ground.
